We offer Inline Centrifugal Fans in a wide variety of speeds, voltages, horse powers and configurations. The following defines how we group and lay out these fans in our model designations. Please review and understand the following:
Inline Centrifugal Fan Model Designations
The number above represents a CECO Inline Centrifugal Fan, has a 18" diameter wheel installed in a galvanized 24" round housing. A 7.5 horsepower 230 volt motor, single phase, with a mounted control panel. Lets break it down.
These letter stand for Inline Centrifugal. ILC fans meet a wide variety of needs, and made to interchange easily with axial-flow fans. They deliver lower volumes, but are capable of operating at substantially higher pressures than axial.
The number in this location defines the size of the round housing. Housing size is nominal. Actual is approximately 1/4" larger.
This number represents the size of the mounted wheel.
This number stands for the horsepower of the motor. All motors operate at 3450 rpm. Single phase motors operate on 230 volt power. Three phase motors may operate on either 230 or 460 volts. Fans ordered without controls are shipped with wiring connections open, for field wiring to correct voltage. Fans ordered with controls must have the voltage specified, as field voltage conversion requires changing entire control panel. ILC fns are also available with motors for 575 volts (Canadian) operation. Contact dealer for more information.
Specifies the phase of the motor.
This C represents a control panel will be mounted. If no panel is required, a dash mark is shown in this position. Fans with 230 Volt Controls included mounted weather-resistant starter panel. Panel consists of magnetic contactor with line-voltage (230) volt) coil, motor overheat protection, and off-run-start switch. Starter does not include fuses for branch circuit protection, or an electrical disconnect. An electrical disconnect that is visible from the fan must be added.
Fans with 460 Volt Controls (three phase only) include mounted weather-resistant starter panel. Panel consists of magnetic contactor with line-voltage (460 volt) coil, motor overheat protection, ad start-stop push-button. Starter does not include fuses for branch circuit protection, or an electrical disconnect. An electrical disconnect that is visible from the fan must be added!

This G represents an all galvanized housing. CECO does not use bolts or a fastening system to join the main body of the housing together. All housing are mig welded together to form a rigid structure which is restraint to high vibration. After the welding process, housings are hot-dipped forming a complete galvanized unit. This process is standard with all CECO fans. If you prefer we offer the following options.
Powder Coating: CECO offers powder coating service as an option over galvanizing. We powder coat all fans white, with control panel lid and intake cone black. No letter designation is used in the part number. Please specify this option with the dealer when ordering.
High Solids Paint: CECO offers a high solid paint service. Standard painted housing are premiered and then painted red (all so known as South East Red). No letter designation is used in the part number. Please specify this option with the dealer when ordering. Other color schemes can be provided. Please have your dealer inquire at the factory.
